Thank you very much for welcoming me to this beautiful parish. I am Father Carlos Miguel Mestanza, and I am very happy to be able to share with you the joy of being called to live the call to holiness in our local church. I come from Peru; I was born in the city of Trujillo and have been part of P.E.S. since 2009, when I entered the novitiate. After my initial formation, I studied theology at the Pontifical and Civil Faculty of Theology in Lima for six years, and simultaneously worked in various pastoral ministries, assisting children, young people, and families in the Catholic Advance movement and in the parishes where I was assigned. I was ordained a priest three years ago, and since then I have worked as a parish priest at the Cathedral of Puno, a city in southern Peru, where I learned a great deal from the local community and the fraternal bond with the parishioners. I hope to get to know you little by little and to continue growing together in faith and in love for God. God bless you.

Querida comunidad de San Lorenzo: Muchas gracias por recibirme en esta hermosa parroquia. Soy el P. Carlos Miguel Mestanza y estoy muy contento de poder compartir con ustedes la alegría de ser llamados a vivir el llamado a la santidad en nuestra iglesia local. Vengo desde Perú, nací en la ciudad de Trujillo y soy parte de P.E.S. desde el año 2009 que ingresé al noviciado. Luego de la formación realicé estudios teológicos en la Facultad de Teología Pontificia y Civil de Lima durante 6 años y simultáneamente  trabajé en varios ministerios pastorales ayudando a niños, jóvenes y familias del movimiento avanzada católica y las parroquias donde fui designado. Recibí la ordenación sacerdotal hace tres años, y desde entonces trabajé como párroco en la Catedral de Puno, ciudad al sur del Perú donde aprendí mucho de la comunidad local y el fraterno vínculo con los parroquianos. Espero poder ir conociéndolos poco a poco, y poder seguir creciendo juntos en la fe y en el amor a Dios. Dios los bendiga.
